“Yes, there used to be a ballpark.”

[20241011] - "Slippery slope paved with goodness."

The consolidating of a slippery slope leading to a perfectly embellished world of collective bondage in the name of philanthropy and equality, a reallife "Road to Serfdom"; or the start of a return to an imperfect world of liberty and common sense without ornamentation. What are we to do?

Valor is not merely chanting what is seemingly morally accepted by the masses in safety, but standing up, with resilience, buoyancy, and strategy, in face to camouflaged threats, despite however malicious, however powerful, however elusive, and however deceptive, eroding, and above all, its most horrifying feature - however tempting, that the evil is, we are to carry on.

We are merely eight decades later, facing the same prospect in its nature that our grandparents having so meticulously, cautiously and bravely defeated, we have forgotten the true nature and form of this gilded and deceptively eroding and tempting disease.

I do not know should history be once again so generous in almsgiving another tremendous gift of series of opportunities and heroes to our civilization for us in freeing ourselves from the eventual bondage and tyranny in the seemingly-so trajectory. Should history be willing to choose to do so again, we will need a hell lot more luck, advantage, and sweat than what our grandparents were faced with last time, given the features of this generation.

This is not about winning an immediate battle, it is not even a battle, but rather the preliminary stage of choices for the preparation of a struggle already long underway, a most silent, well-camouflaged, protracted struggle that will eventually lead to one of two outcomes, a perfectly embellished and equal bondage and serfdom; or an imperfect world of liberty and common sense. We are bound with this responsibility whether or not we accept it, we have both the right and ability to act and to idle... for now.

It will be a protracted struggle without glory to the heroes and without infamy to the zeal-minded do-good villains, which make it all much difficult and complicated in its nature for the free people to overcome. But however complex, however painful and sore, however prolonged, the underlying nobleness within each and every awakened man will be preserved until the destruction of a yet recognizable world.

Should our civilization exist hundreds of years from now, whether it will be through the whispers of the few living in a dark age, or the praise from hymns inscribed on columns of steles bathing the sun, let our attempts be vaguely remembered.
